What is

Shimpy?

if i had a brand, it would be Shimpy.

it comes from a painting i made in high school where i accidentally misspelled ‘shrimp’. the painting is part of a larger series imposing chinese snacks/foods on classic american packaging.

this series was my first attempt at creating a concept, which i tried to take seriously. Shimpy, though, is my reminder to enjoy silly things, continue snacking, and look forward to creating.
